For a little over a year, we have been working hard on designing and testing a unique electric kick scooter with our trusted supplier. With the result being a combination of style and FUNctionality; we can proudly say that we have succeeded.

What makes our scooter stand out besides its futuristic design, is the possibility of removing the battery so that you can charge it anywhere!

We want to share this amazing product with the world, but we're going to need the Kickstarter community to make it happen. Due to the high costs that come with utilizing and shipping lithium-ion batteries, bringing the kick scooter to the market is an expensive task.

To be able to offer the KIQ to you at an attractive price, we're going to need to import as many as possible in one go. Hence the Kickstarter campaign.

If we can get at least 260 community members to back our campaign, we will be able to offer the KIQ scooter to you for just €479, which means the KIQ will cost you significantly less than the retail price of €549! Let's bundle our powers and get this thing done! *Price based on 21% VAT

Meet the KIQ.

The KIQ is the ideal companion for short-distance traveling. The 3D forging and low pressure casting process make for strong metal rigidity. The KIQ’s frame is extremely durable, which is a key factor for stability, comfort and safety.

Motor

The KIQ’s motor output is 36V and 300 watts, which is enough power to carry up to 115 kilograms at a speed of 25km/h. In the front of the scooter you can find the FOC controller, which is supplied by a high-speed train controlling company; it ensures a more sensitive and stable throttle.

The KIQ has three different driving modes; a slow, medium and fast mode, respectively taking you 7, 15 and 25 kilometers per hour.

Battery

To maintain high standards, we chose to pair the KIQ’s motor to a 7.8Ah LG lithium-ion battery. LG is known for quality, long-lasting functionality and of course reliability. This battery adds significantly to our costs, but enables us to ensure you of hassle free rides. You can unmount the battery easily so that you can carry and charge it wherever you need to. Tip: charge your battery at work to enjoy FREE transport! ;)

The integrated battery management system protects the battery from overcharging, overheating or short circuiting, while also equalizing the power output, regulating the temperature and protecting the current output.

On the back of the battery, you will find a USB-port so that you can charge your phone while on the go.

Brakes

The KIQ scooter has an electric brake lever on the left handle. It uses a rear fender and electronic front brake (EBS). The combination of the two makes for safe braking in any situation. Thanks to the regenerative braking system the battery charges as you break or go down-hill, which stretches the battery life. A full charge will take 3 to 4 hours and gives you a driving range of approximately 30 kilometers, depending on your weight and whether you travel over hills or on flat roads.

Lock

In case you want to leave your KIQ outside, the battery can be locked onto the frame using the included key. If you want to use a chain-lock, it can easily be pulled through the metal front fork which makes it safe to leave your KIQ outside while you get your groceries.

Display

The scooter features a crystal LED display which shows you the current speed, the remaining battery life and the driving-mode you are in. The odometer will tell you how many kilometers the scooter has driven. The touch button allows you to switch modes and turn your headlights on and off.

Lights

The KIQ’s most recognizable feature is the LED U-light. The U-light is more of a style feature, whereas the two headlights on the front of the KIQ display are there to light the road ahead when riding in the dark. The handle-bars have LED lights on the sides, to make sure that you are visible to other vehicles. There is also a red taillight on the back of the scooter.

Base & Tires

The base of the KIQ is covered with rubber which has an anti-slip texture design so your feet won’t ever slip, and the two 8” solid rubber tires are strong and impossible to puncture.

Foldable

With the push of a foot, the KIQ collapses so it can easily be stored away. Once collapsed, it is locked in place by a safety pin, which you can pull to release and unfold.

Certificates

Last but definitely not least, the KIQ fully complies to EU standards and has CE, RoHs, and FCC certificates.

All in all, if driven attentively, the KIQ is a very convenient, durable and safe means of transportation.

We believe that with your support KIQ has the potential to become a world-wide phenomenon, standing out with its futuristic design and convenient functionality.
