Why Phabit's patented capabilities are ground-breaking
The word Phabit is a portmanteau of the words 'Phone' and 'Habit'. Phabit is the world's first multi-purpose cell phone stand that is flexible, portable, foldable and fits in your pocket. Its also the first which allows users to invert their phone to view from beneath (while leaning back or fully supine). Additionally Phabit is the first free-standing phone stand that securely encloses your phone in a bidirectionally adjustable frame from which user can deploy two, three or four legs in virtually any direction, using the weight of inserted phone for stability. Lastly, there is no other product available with four individually length-adjustable legs which provide independent suspension of enclosed phone - on even or uneven surfaces - up to 2 feet in height (with planned option for 3 feet).
Successful campaign will fund planned feature enhancements:
Production Phabits will feature both redesigned ball-and-socket swivel hinges and spring-loaded corner caps to accommodate even the thickest phone cases:
Colors: In production, Phabit will be made available with several color options.

My Phabit Story
The idea for Phabit came soon after I bought my first iPad. I wanted to relax by consuming web content in bed but was forced to stop. Persistent arm and neck pain had spoiled the experience.
As often is the case with technology, trends began to change. Smartphone models with screen sizes in-between phones and tablets (‘phablets’) were made popular by Samsung’s Galaxy brand. Soon after, Apple introduced iPhone Plus sizes. Suddenly behaviors that required a tablet were becoming commonplace on smartphones. Analysts began to question the future of tablet computers.
Although this wasn’t great news for my product idea, I was excited to test these smaller devices while relaxing in bed or on the couch. It was frustrating when the same arm and neck pain returned. I soon realized that it was body posture – not device size or weight – that needed correcting. I set out to design a smaller more portable Phabit, this time for the modern smartphone user!
Around this time, my wife Kim had been struggling with her work space posture. Dizziness and headaches were a daily occurrence. We installed a standing desk, adjusted the position of her monitor, and even had her eyesight checked. Nothing seemed to work.
Not long after receiving our first prototypes, Kim decided to use Phabit while at her work desk. She was testing for her weekday afternoon phone habit of keeping in touch with family via text. Kim experimented by positioning her Phabit up higher at roughly the same height as her work monitor. She dug an old Bluetooth keyboard out of storage for her final adjustment.
Magically Kim began to feel better almost immediately. We soon realized it was only on afternoons she forgot to use Phabit that her symptoms reappeared. It wasn’t long before we made the meaningful connection to Text Neck and the important Phabit advantage of eye-level viewing - in any position, anywhere - was identified.
Today it seems we discover a new Phabit Habit every day! What cool Phabit habits will you discover? Support your Phone Habit!
